Tuesday Review vol. 2 // Rimmel Salon Pro Ultra Violet

Rimmel London // Salon Pro // Ultra Violet 312 - RRP £4.49
Hand Chain // Boohoo // No longer on website.

Sorry, "Tuesday Review" isn't the catchiest title but there isn't a day that starts with 'R' so this will have to do!

So i got this nail varnish as a birthday present and haven't really worn it yet so i though it would be a good opportunity to review it, enjoy!

The first thing i need to mention is how much i love this colour! i usually go for the darker colours i think they suit my skin tone a bit more but this really took me by surprise as it is such a lovely shade of purple!

Secondly i should mention is the extremely easy application! With a lot of their recent nail products it seems that Rimmel have found the perfect brush. It's a great rounded shape so you can get close to the cuticle without getting it everywhere (which is a problem i have) and it only takes a couple of strokes of the brush for you to get a great even layer of varnish and it dries very quickly which means you can apply the next layer without having to wait around.
Also it only takes a couple of layers to get the desired shade, unlike with other nail products where a minimum of 5 is needed.

Finally, *insert deep powerful voice here* the "staying power!".  I've had this on for a couple of days now and it's been fab! Usually my nail varnish would have chipped a lot within the first day but i am impressed and hope that it stays to this standard through out the week!

Overall i really love this nail varnish and will defiantly be investing in some more shades from the Salon Pro range and would defiantly recommend you to look into it!

If you write they will come! (Hopefully)

Honestly I'm so angry with myself for starting this blog then dropping it after a couple of posts! This is what I did with my "blog"!

So I am determined to do at least a post a week! Whether it be a review, a weekly summery or maybe something cool I've come across.

So if anyone is reading this little post some ideas would be greatly appreciated as I really do want to keep at this blog!
Wish me luck!!!

(Sorry i didn't know what picture to put so here is a couple of one of my cats Mojo)

Tuesday Review Vol. 1 // Maybelline Super Stay 24 Bold Matte

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Bold Matte // Hot Brown 845 - £8.99

So it seems everyone is trying out nude lipsticks at the moment and i was really looking forward to trying the new L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche which is recently come out but every place i went to had sold out of the colour i thought would suit me best. As a compromise i decided to try out the Maybelline Super Stay Bold Matte and i thought i'd do a review on it.

So to begin with i'll start with its "staying power"... As it is a fairly natural colour it was hard to tell when it had totally faded but it did stay on for a good couple of hours before i had to re-apply.
The colour i wasn't to sure about (as i was hoping to go more pinky) but i actually like it and it gives my lips a nice tint without looking like i have foundation all over my lips!
One of the biggest problems i have with this product has to be how dry and chapped it makes my lips look (especially now were coming into the colder months) So i have to be really careful in how much i apply.
The other problem i have is the way it feels on my lips, even when i have applied the Conditioning Balm. It just made them feel very chapped and sticky. So to over come this i put Rosy Lips Vaseline on top just to make it feel a bit nicer and it also gives it a nice pinky tint and shine (which i know is defeating the object of the Matte look)

Overall i do like the colour of this product but hate the way it feels so i don't think i would recommend it especially for the price that it is.

I hope you liked my first review and please let me know if i missed anything or you think i wrote to much. I would really appreciate it!

Arcade Fire // Reflektor

After the massive success of their last album Arcade Fire are finally back with a new single! I do regret to say that i went off them for a while (mainly because nearly everyone was listening to them, petty, i know) but was reintroduced via the track The Suburbs (Continued), which is beautiful. And now i'm so in love with their new song but happens to be over 7 minutes long(!!!) Which can be a problem for someone with a very short attention span (i.e me). Although it might not be for everyone, the trippy video is definitely worth a watch, see below.

Feedback on this post would be much appreciated

New Start. New Blog

I know that the start of A-levels isn't exactly the best time to start a new blog but there is always going to be something... So despite this i have decided to give it a go (again...)

I haven't really decided what this blog is going to be about (maybe make-up reviews, clothes, day-to-day life etc) but hopefully i will commit to making regular posts.
