Tuesday Review Vol. 1 // Maybelline Super Stay 24 Bold Matte

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Bold Matte // Hot Brown 845 - £8.99

So it seems everyone is trying out nude lipsticks at the moment and i was really looking forward to trying the new L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche which is recently come out but every place i went to had sold out of the colour i thought would suit me best. As a compromise i decided to try out the Maybelline Super Stay Bold Matte and i thought i'd do a review on it.

So to begin with i'll start with its "staying power"... As it is a fairly natural colour it was hard to tell when it had totally faded but it did stay on for a good couple of hours before i had to re-apply.
The colour i wasn't to sure about (as i was hoping to go more pinky) but i actually like it and it gives my lips a nice tint without looking like i have foundation all over my lips!
One of the biggest problems i have with this product has to be how dry and chapped it makes my lips look (especially now were coming into the colder months) So i have to be really careful in how much i apply.
The other problem i have is the way it feels on my lips, even when i have applied the Conditioning Balm. It just made them feel very chapped and sticky. So to over come this i put Rosy Lips Vaseline on top just to make it feel a bit nicer and it also gives it a nice pinky tint and shine (which i know is defeating the object of the Matte look)

Overall i do like the colour of this product but hate the way it feels so i don't think i would recommend it especially for the price that it is.

I hope you liked my first review and please let me know if i missed anything or you think i wrote to much. I would really appreciate it!

Arcade Fire // Reflektor

After the massive success of their last album Arcade Fire are finally back with a new single! I do regret to say that i went off them for a while (mainly because nearly everyone was listening to them, petty, i know) but was reintroduced via the track The Suburbs (Continued), which is beautiful. And now i'm so in love with their new song but happens to be over 7 minutes long(!!!) Which can be a problem for someone with a very short attention span (i.e me). Although it might not be for everyone, the trippy video is definitely worth a watch, see below.

Feedback on this post would be much appreciated

New Start. New Blog

I know that the start of A-levels isn't exactly the best time to start a new blog but there is always going to be something... So despite this i have decided to give it a go (again...)

I haven't really decided what this blog is going to be about (maybe make-up reviews, clothes, day-to-day life etc) but hopefully i will commit to making regular posts.
